What began as an idea inspired by real Civil War love letters in 2023 has become quite a journey! Following its sold-out premiere in June 2025, A Goodnight Kiss was invited to perform at the Connecticut State House in April 2026, becoming the first drama ever staged there. The production then enjoyed two special-invitation performances at Five Points Arts Center.
The script has also been archived by the Library of Congress, and most recently, the production received an Award of Merit from the Connecticut League of Museums for transforming historical archives into a living story.
